Post-operative planning starts with your treating clinician
Viva Cryo lists Post-Op Lymphatic Drainage among its studio services. This appointment is not medical care and does not replace follow-up with your surgeon or other treating clinician. Before booking, obtain explicit clearance from the professional directing your post-operative care, including guidance about timing, treatment areas, positioning, pressure, and any restrictions that apply to you.
Your clinician’s instructions take priority over a general studio protocol or information on this page. If you have new or worsening symptoms, concerns about an incision, unexpected swelling, fever, shortness of breath, significant pain, or any question about a complication, contact your treating clinician or seek appropriate urgent care. Do not use a Viva Cryo appointment to assess those symptoms.
What to bring to the consultation
When contacting Viva Cryo, be ready to share the type and date of your procedure, the areas involved, and the name of the clinician or practice managing your care. Bring written clearance or post-operative instructions when available. Tell the team about dressings, compression garments, mobility limits, tender areas, follow-up dates, and anything your clinician has told you to avoid.
The Viva Cryo team can then explain the studio’s appointment format and determine whether it can be provided within those boundaries. Clearance does not guarantee that the studio will proceed; current symptoms, incomplete information, or a mismatch with the service’s scope may mean postponing and returning to your clinician for direction.
A coordinated, conservative approach
Post-operative situations are individual. Viva Cryo does not promise a particular timeline, appearance, amount of swelling reduction, or recovery outcome. The studio will not change your clinician’s plan, interpret medical findings, or advise you to disregard restrictions. The purpose of the pre-appointment conversation is to keep responsibilities clear and make sure the studio service is not confused with clinical treatment.
If multiple appointments are discussed, treat the schedule as conditional. Your treating clinician may revise clearance as your situation changes, and the Viva Cryo team may need updated direction. Keep all required follow-up appointments with your care team regardless of how a studio session feels.
Discretion at the Manhattan studio
Viva Cryo is located in Flatiron/NoMad at 121 W 27th Street, Suite 304, on the third floor. Privacy is especially important for services connected to personal procedures. You may discuss logistics directly with the team, and photos or public testimonials are not assumed to be part of your appointment.
Mindbody is Viva Cryo’s booking system, but call the studio before selecting a post-op time if clearance details or mobility needs require discussion. Bring your clinician’s authorization and current instructions to every relevant appointment. The studio service remains supportive and non-medical throughout.
